The South West Society of Botanical Artists welcomes anyone with an interest in botanical illustration - students, artists, teachers, collectors, enthusiasts, friends and family.

The Society was formed in 2006 to promote and encourage a high standard in botanical art throughout the South West of England. This is an increasingly popular art form, as more and more people discover the joy of portraying plants in a pleasing and botanically accurate way.

The Society fosters links with similar groups as well as botanical, educational and conservation institutions. Members are able to learn new skills, explore commercial opportunities and meet likeminded people.

Meetings, talks, demonstrations and workshops are held throughout the South West, when members are able to meet fellow artists and, if they wish, bring their work for critique by experts.

Exhibitions where members may display and sell their work are held regularly across the region in order to reach as wide an audience as possible.
